The goal of our group is to evolve advanced technologies in university to new concepts of novel products. The advanced technologies which we pay strong attention to are related to (１) the interaction between living body and material (particularly biocompatibility) and (２) the interaction between material and water (particularly hydrophobic interaction). The areas where we intend to create new concepts of products are (１) biomedical field (particularly interventional radiology /endovascular Surgery and cell/ tissue engineering) and (２) agricultural biotechnology field (particularly plant tissue culture technology). The carried picture shows orchid plantlets cultured by newly developed continuous production system of plantlets.
